During todays lesson, I have researched and collected data on the competitor of Ford in Turkey, Renault. Over the years, Renault has risen and generally becomes first place in the biggest market share in the automobile industry in Turkey. Here are some of the information I have found about Renault:
- Renault Turkiye was founded in the 10th of January 1968 under Mais Moturlu Araclar Imal ve Satis A.S which is also under Oyak Group.
- Oyak Group is a business that provides funding and help to the TSK (The Turkish Military) -> I still haven’t concluded my research on the relationship between them and Renault.
- MAIS Motorlu Araclar Imal ve Satis A.S is the main distributor of Renault and Dacia automobiles. They own 51% of Renault Turkiye’s shares with Renault S.A owning 49%.
- The Renault group is a French company who is one of the top 4 manufacturers of automobiles in the world. They have over 120,000 employees all over the world.
